In short, it's a smashing WW2 reenactment/military vehicle gathering, with a smallish wargames show too..a really good weekend. http://www.yorkshireairmuseum.co.uk/about_us/history.asp
"Saturday 9 - Sunday 10 May 2009Battlegroup North, Largest gathering of historic military vehicles in North of England with some 200 vehicles expected to attend. The event features a superb Wargaming show, with demonstration and participation games highlighting the detail of precision modelling at its best, with supporting trade stands. The Living History displays add colour and a real period atmosphere to the event. The Lancaster, Hurricane and Spitfire from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight have been allocated to perform a flypast on Saturday."
We're doing a family visit on the Saturday, and putting a game on the Sunday, Nap10mm (yes, I know it's a WW2 event, but the Organisers want a bit of variety!) Say hello if you're there. Sadly it clashes with the Carronade Show at Falkirk, which we went to last year, (and had a really good time), so we'll have to alternate yearly until they hopefully stop clashing.
